InspiraFarms joins the UN Global Compact Network

InspiraFarms is pleased to announce that we have joined the United Nations Global Compact and the UN Global Compact Network UK, a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation, and disclosure of responsible business practices.

With this announcement, InspiraFarms is proud to join thousands of other companies globally and in the UK, committed to taking responsible business action to create the world we all want.

“We are very thrilled to join the UN Global Compact Network. It gives us great pleasure to be associated with organizations that continue to build sustainable businesses to create long term growth, while contributing positively to the society,” noted Julian Mitchell, InspiraFarms’ Chief Executive Officer.

The UN Global Compact is a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In line with the universal sustainability principles, InspiraFarms aims to continue building sustainable technology that provides agribusinesses, exporters, 3PL and food distributors with sustainable growth solutions for handling their fresh produce, that significantly cut energy costs, reduce food losses and come ready to meet the major international food safety certifications, and allows remote performance monitoring.

“The core of the United Nations Global Compact’s mission is to support companies doing business responsibly by aligning their strategies and operations with ten universal principles on human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. We also support business taking actions to advance the Sustainable Development Goals. We are delighted and encouraged by InspiraFarms’ endorsement of our initiative,” said Steve Kenzie, Executive Director, UN Global Compact Network UK.

Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact Network is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 12,000 companies and 3,500 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries, and 69 Local Networks.
