InspiraFarms leadership change

Tim Chambers, co-founder and CEO InspiraFarms ofleading provider of on- and off-grid cold storage solutions in Africa, has announced that he will be stepping down from his executive director role but will remain on the company’s board of directors.

“After eight years of leading InspiraFarms as CEO, I have taken the personal decision to step aside from day to day operations of the company. I have successfully led the company through four rounds of capital raise, built an excellent team, and taken InspiraFarms to a multi-million Euro business with more than half of our clients in Africa receiving financing and solar systems in their cold storage. To see what InspiraFarms has become today it is the greatest joy of my professional life” mentioned Tim Chambers.

As of today, Michele Bruni will assume leadership of the company as interim CEO. Michele co-founded InspiraFarms with Tim Chambers as they both shared the same dream and vision of delivering modern, clean, and sustainable cooling technology across developing markets. He has been with the company alongside Tim since 2012 and has performed almost every role in the organization, from engineer, to sales manager, to his most recent tenure as Chief Technical Officer. He is therefore well placed to continue the incredible growth that he and Tim have achieved together over the past eight years.

“We would, quite simply, not be in the place we are today – poised to scale our solutions across the first mile in Africa – without Tim’s dedication, drive, and leadership” affirms Michele Bruni.

Going forward, Tim will continue to shape and guide the strategic direction of InspiraFarms through his role as a Board Director, while having time to pursue other personal and professional ambitions. He will still play an active role for InspiraFarms in developing relationships with strategic partners and funders to help InspiraFarms to the next level of its growth journey.

InspiraFarms is putting in place an ambitious and exciting growth and expansion plan over Africa, rolling out new features and service offerings, including a first-of-its kind special financing vehicle to offer up to 5-year flexible payment terms for our clients, as well as a revamped after-sales service model.
